So craft2.0 wasn't the best day we have had at a market, which is sad as last time we sold HEAPS... but not to worry, such is the nature of doing markets. Good news is that we have a lot of excess stock left over AND we learnt a lot more about the direction we are wanting to head in (even better news is that the lovely Nell, our stockist from Good Score, told us we had sold 7 out of 12 pairs in the past month!) Anywho, from now on we are going to be focusing more on finding stockists and searching for fabrics. But here are some more of our sleepover range for you to gawk at (the knickers, not Sally's sweet ass!!) for now!

Crafty Craft Craft

On Saturday, 25th of July, (in a few hours for those who are noticing...) we are attending the fabulous Craft2.0! We have spent a few weeks gathering fabrics and preparing for our limited Sleepover range! For this range we have been inspired by sleepovers from yesteryear, complete with pillow fights and soda pops, forts made out of old blankets, playing with mummy's make-up and dreaming of cowboys! This is one of the cutest ranges we have created, so expect to see heaps of cartoon cottons, and pastels. Danni really enjoyed coming up with the names for the different styles while Sarah loved the colour palette and fabrics! (Obviously one can start to tell where our interests lie!!)
Anywho, if you are up and reading this, come out to the new Dowse in Lower Hutt on the 25th of July 10am-3pm (if you show up early you will get a real mean goody bag! we are contributing stunning post-cards with a $5 off voucher... sweeet!!)

Introducing...

The third honorary member of the Birds of a Feather team is the wonderful Sally Ombler (aka smelly omelet!!) She has been friends with us girls for the past nine years, since first meeting as awkward third formers... As well as bleing our best friend, Sal is also our beautiful model! Her sweet booty perfectly fills out our knickers, and will be featured regularly on our blog.
When she's not prancing around in her knickers, Sally enjoys baking afghans, swooning over boys, making jewellery and causing mayhem in the many hot spots around our fine city. We are eternally grateful for having this wee ray of sunshine in our life and in our knickers!
Sugar and Spice and all things nice, that's what little Sal is made of!!!!

Danni Danni Danni

Is made up of a mixture of things. She LOVES movies and snuggling up with her kitty called MUGGINS. Danni also likes to sit around eating Cheese platters off pretty plates and chatting to her pals. She tries to juggle her Bachelor of Communications with a major in media studies and expressive arts, make knickers, swoon muggins and always have time for a friend needing a shoulder.
Im hoping to hear a poem Danni is submitting into our local Parrot next door for the coming summer. Shes a talented wee writer so i look forward to drinking coffee and eating muffins next door whilst listening to the parrot read it aloud.
But overall, Danni is made up of many mixtures, the best way to her heart is to find out for yourself. xox

INTRODUCTIONS... Sarah by Danni

well, we thought that instead of sitting here waffling on about ourselves, we would introduce each other... this is my introduction about Sarah (right) and her kitten Cheeba (far right)

Sarah Dalley is a busy wee beaver, having just completed her diploma in fashion design and technology, she has had projects coming out her ears! After birds of a feather, Sarah started to develop her own label, Polka, of which she makes the most amazing merino and cotton leggings and gloves, which she tie dyes! She also has a keen eye for colour and fabric so you always know that what she creates will be beautiful! but thats not all! she is also hosting her own fashion show in November, followed by an exhibition at Thistle Hall which sees her collaborate with a few good friends! Such a clever cookie! this means that most days you will find her in our studio, with several half finished projects on the go (hence our messy nest!!), or at home with her wee kitten puff Cheeba. One day though, Sarah is going to save up all her hard earned cash andfly to France to buy vintage fabrics and eat croissants... until then, Global Fabrics and toasted savoury muffins from our friends at the Summer Caravan next door will have to do!!
